albatross flying amongst raining eggs
Albatross
etching
3 x 4 inches
2011

Around the albatross' neck is a necklace that features an albatross. And a hand. It's too small to see with the naked eye. A very teensy albatross, so not an "albatross" at all, in the mythological sense. In the real world, these are magnificent birds, some of whom I had the pleasure of admiring in the wild as they came in for landings at their very own albatross airport in the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador. I'm still amazed I got to go there...

Of course, this albatross is flying majestically through an eggstorm.
