I created this painting for the cover of Sons of the Never Wrong's 8th CD, called "King Fisher King", available on Waterbug records. I had a ball painting this little guy with his architectural "crown" and banjo pendant. Since the recording featured a few songs with a horn section, I added that as the kingfisher's perch, and threw in a few fish just so he and junior would have a grail to pursue. This image is also printed on special issue Sons of the Never Wrong wine (courtesy of City Winery), and a really cool one-color version is available on t-shirts.
