Mirror Steamroller print
Woodcut on muslin
7.5 x 4 feet

This woodblock was printed by a Steamroller Paving Truck in the back driveway at the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative's Steamroller Printing Festival in the summer of 2018. This thing was a monster to carve, but there are some really cool time lapse videos of the process on my Instagram feed. Makes it look like 12 hours of work took just 1 minute. If only!

The block was carved from a ginormous piece of MDF plywood, and only 3 prints exist in the world. It's easy to ship because it's fabric, and comes with two dowels for hanging.

We plan on having another Steamroller event in July of 2020 - stay tuned. I should probably start carving now.
